U13Div6 – Corkbeg 7 Mallow Utd ‘A’ 4

U-13Div6 – Corkbeg A 7 Mallow A 4

Corkbeg U13 Div 6 team kept up their 100% record with a hard fought 7-4 win at home to Mallow on Sunday morning.

Corkbeg started very brightly in the game and went ahead with a goal from the dangerous Aiden O Brien who finished well from a superb Oscar murphy cross. Soon after, Shay Forde, whose blistering pace was a threat all day, added a second to put Corkbeg onto a comfortable lead (pictured).

Oscar Murphy soon added a third before Mallow played their way back into the game, one of which was a blistering free kick. But, every time Mallow scored, Corkbeg came back strongly.

Two quick second half goals from Shay Forde effectively put the game to bed, in what was a hugely impressive hat-trick from him. Matt Warne, who was a danger all morning got a deserved goal midway thorough the second half, before a speculative Will O Mahony cross put the icing on the cake for the home side.

Captain Max Daly lead the defence impressively for Corkbeg with Alex Buckley and Nathan Tynan impressing. Well done to all the lads, super effort from them in difficult, sweltering conditions.
