Corkbeg U-14 maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 4-1 home win over Carrigaline ‘A’ in Whitegate on Sunday morning.

Corkbeg were awarded a penalty in the first 5 minutes, which Nicholas Janowski calmly slotted away his first goal and by half time, the Beg were 3-0 up thanks to another from Nicholas and one more from Ryan Murray.

Carrigaline started the 2nd half strongly and were awarded a penalty, which they converted to make it 3-1. Corkbeg responded again within minutes, as Nicholas grabbed his hatrick to make it 4-1. Corkbeg missed a lot of opportunities and were very comfortable winners in the end.

Even though the man of the match award usually goes to the hat-trick man, we felt that Colm White played out of his skin; tigerish in his attacking and non stop work rate made him stand out today…..
