U-13Div2 – Carrigaline Hibernians 1 Corkbeg 0

Corkbeg U-13’s travelled to Carrigaline to play Hibernian’s on Saturday morning. Unfortunately, they were on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline. Corkbeg started the game well, but after 10 minutes, Carrigaline broke from their own penalty area and scored a neat goal in off the post. Corkbeg responded positively, but a couple of chances went just the wrong side of the post.

The second half was a scrappy affair, but there were a few chances for either side, with all of them just going wide.

Then with 3 minutes to go, Daniel was put through by Nicolas, but the Carrigaline goalie was equal to it and made a brave and excellent save.

With a bit more composure and a bit of luck, we will turn these narrow defeats into wins. Special mention to Mattie O Leary, Andrew Murphy and Senan O Toole (pictured), who played very well on Saturday morning.
