O’ Donoghue strike the Highlight of Beg U14 win

U14 D4 Corkbeg 4 – Ballincollig 1

A stunning first half strike from 25 yards by midfielder Jake O Donoghue was the highlight of a comprehensive home win for the Beg in this U14 league 4 encounter. Played in near perfect conditions provided you were dressed for the cold , The beg made heavy weather of the opening half and were lucky to go in 1-0 up at the break. The opening goal was a fantastic effort from Jake and it had goal written all over it from the minute it left his boot. Some tactical switches in the second half brought the desired changes and once again demonstrated the value of a strong bench. Arron Stafford and Jack Farmer, both introduced at half time, made telling contributions in general play as well as getting on the scoresheet. Regular scorer  John Looney added another to put the gloss on a solid if not spectacular team performance.
