Player Manager Ronan Forde stepped down from his managerial duties after a succesful two year stint. Ronan finished his tenure in style by scoring the winner in the 90th minute as the beg beat Carrigaline 2-1 to take third spot in AUL 2B.
Ronan has put huge effort into rebuilding a squad that was close to extinction only two years ago and together with Denis O Sullivan they have turned around the fortunes of the junior team. Ronan brought new ideas re training and playing formations which this year saw the club reach the Corinthians Cup semi – final and take third spot in the league. It is hoped that the new manager will be able to build on this foundation and take the team forward.
The club would like to thank Ronan for his efforts with the team and is pleased to hear that he will continue to serve the club in a playing and admin capacity.
