Corkbeg U17 team fell to their first defeat of the season 3-0 away to table toppers Mogeely last Saturday afternoon.

Both teams struggled to settle with the windy conditions, but Mogeely dealt with it quicker and went in 1-0 up at half time.
The second half pretty much went the same way as the first half with Mogeely on the front foot and they rattled off two more goals in quick succession. But, the Beg kept fighting until the final whistle.

Good efforts from Conor Byrne, Cian Hegarty and Adam Collins

Corkbeg U17s got their league campaign back on track on Saturday afternoon with a 3-2 victory over Ballyduff in West Waterford.

Like last weekend against Mogeely, once again the lads found it hard to settle and found themselves 1-0 down inside five minutes, when some sloppy defending allowed Ballyduff to score.
But once we settled, we totally controlled the game. And even though we went in at half time 2-1 down ( a great finish from Ryan Murray ), we knew we would finish strongly.
Ryan got his second and the 3rd goal came from a Luke Butler corner that found the back of the net.
Even though the game finished 3-2 to the Beg, it could have been a lot more as we dominated the 2nd half completely
Great performances on the day from Jack Flynn, Luke Butler and our two goal hero Ryan Murray (below). Looks like he has found his finishing touch again.
