Corkbeg Claim AUL Premier A League Title

Corkbeg Crowned AUL Premier A Champions
Corkbeg were presented with the AUL Premier A trophy on Saturday afternoon in Whitegate.

As a result of winning the Premier A title, Corkbeg are promoted to the top tier of the AUL as the 2021-2022 champions.

AUL committee member, Paul Pepper was on hand to present Corkbeg captain Jack Farmer with the AUL Premier A trophy, in front of a large gathering of Corkbeg supporters.

Huge credit must go to the manager Darrian O Donoghue, his backroom team, Gavin Roche, Ian Casey and Ryan O Donoghue and all the players for a memorable season full of passion, spirit and flowing football.

And also, a special mention for the previous management team of John Bennett, Brian Martin & coach Denis O Sullivan, who laid the foundations over the previous two seasons, for the charge to the title this season and also to Pakie O Sullivan, who would have been a great support to a lot of the squad over the years.

A special mention for two Corkbeg players – Cein O Driscoll & Kevin O Hanlon – who were hugely instrumental in the teams success this season, but couldn’t make it to the presentation on Saturday afternoon due to travelling abroad.

There were wild celebrations on Saturday night in The Long Point and no doubt that those celebrations will continue over the weekend and over the next few weeks. Well done, lads. What a fantastic achievement. Ye did the club proud. UP THE BEG!!!
