Beg’s U12’s Maintain unbeaten run !

Corkbeg 3 – Grenagh 1

The beg u12 team maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 3-1 win at home to Grenagh. Ground conditions were very heavy underfoot and the heavy rain in the first half made it difficult for both teams. The Beg started like an express train and were two up in the opening 10 minutes. Gavin Kelly opened the scoring with a solo effort after being put through by an equisite  Jamie Gilroy pass. Regular marksman Jordan Tynan slotted home the second with a neat finish after some good passing by the beg midfield. The Beg then took their foot off the gas and a sloppy mistake allowed the visitors in for a soft goal. Both sides had further chances but it stayed at 2-1 until the break.

The beg got back to working hard in the second half with Deccie Foley and Kalen O Donoghue doing some great work . The beg were pressing hard now for the the third goal and they got the deserved breakthrough when Jordan Tynan sped away from the defenders , rounded the keeper and slotted home the clincher. Both teams had further chances and the beg were glad for some good saves from “cool hands” Luke o Connell in goals .  This was a good win on a bad day and next up for the lads is a top of the table clash away to Carrrigtwohill on 27/11/@ 12:15 ko.
