Corkbeg continued their winning ways in AULDiv1, with a thumping 7-0 win over Rylane Celtic in Rylane on Saturday afternoon. Down a few regulars and playing on a tricky surface, Corkbeg will be delighted to have grabbed all three points on a blustery afternoon.

Corkbeg were a bit all over the place in the opening 20 minutes and found it difficult to adjust to the windy conditions and slanty pitch. Tariq Tynan blazed over from close range early on, but Rylane had a better opportunity to open the scoring when striker Kieran Blake latched on to Jamie O Sullivans loose back-pass, but Corkbeg goalkeeper Eric Higgins made a great block. And Higgins was involved in Corkbegs opener, finding Tariq Tynan with a cross-field ball and Tariq crossed for Jordan Roberts to fire home from 8 yards. Jordan Ryan & Jordan Roberts were both dangerous for the Beg and regularly threatened. The second goal came on 33 minutes, when Alan Horgans deep cross found Tynan at the back post and he side-footed a brilliant volley on the run to the top corner to double Corkbegs advantage. Five minutes later, it was 3-0, when Dylan O Neill found space in the box and fired low past Rylane goalkeeper Ian O Sullivan. And on the stroke of half time, Tariq Tynan grabbed his second goal when he fired home from the penalty spot.

It was the home side who threatened early in the second half and once again, Eric Higgins had to be alert to deny Kieran Blake with a fine save and soon after, got down low to save another decent effort from Daniel Lane. But, it was always likely that Corkbeg would increase their total and Dylan O Neill was denied his second goal of the game by a brilliant save down low to his left by Ian O Sullivan. Shortly afterwards though, Corkbeg got their fifth, when good work from Tynan & O Neill, sent Josh Allen through on goal and he fired home from 15 yards (pictured). Stephen O Halloran narrowly missed the target with a low drive and substitute Jamie O Hanlon was denied at the near post by O Sullivan, before Tariq Tynan completed his hat-trick on 65 minutes, with a fine run and finish into the bottom corner for a 6-0 lead. Before the end, Cein O Driscoll turned in Jamie O Hanlons low cross from close range to complete the scoring.
