U13’s win last home game to keep winning run going
The beg U13’s kept their winning run going in the league by winning their last home game of the season by the odd goal in five over a game Richmond eleven. The game had a nice easy flow to it and the beg management gave some of the fringe panel a well deserved run. The beg found themselves 3- o up without breaking too much sweat , the goals coming from Liam Murphy , Jake O Donoghue (A beauty) and Kevin O Hanlon . To their credit , Richmond never gave up and managed to pull two of the deficit back before the final whistle.
There were scenes of great joy at the final whistle when Captain Jake O Donoghue recieved the Division 5 shield on behalf of the team. After finishing runners up for the last two years – this was a sweet victory and a well deserved day in the sun for this bunch of lads.
A victory Tour of the parish followed by a tasty meal at TK’s Diner rounded off a superb night for the Beg U13’s.
